G SHAPE/PENINSULA KITCHEN COVER
The G-shape layout is a variation of the U-shape, with the addition of a peninsula or a partial fourth wall, which can be used for extra countertops and storage space.
Do not get confused between islands and peninsulas. A peninsula is nothing but an island that is attached to the wall, which means that it is not a standalone block. Peninsulas give your kitchen extra counter space and create a seating area. The only difference is that it does not allow as much free movement as an island kitchen does.
